Veeam backup for office 365

Hi is anyone using veeam backup for office 365? Or any other products are you backing up to another cloud or an on-site nas?

We are using ‘UpSafe’, they will offer special pricing for edu which is by size of data backed up instead or per user, very cost effective.

Maybe I'm missing something, but what is the point in such a service?

Office 365's backup/file retrival service goes back for donkies, so I'm also intrigued as to why such a service exists?

I did use Veeam for a while but it stopped working. Haven't use it since. Don't need to. O365 does it all pretty much. Only thing it might be useful for is if you are archiving mail going back donkeys I suppose. Edited November 24, 2017 by mikkydoos

I have used veeam as a conduit for transferring VMs up to azure as well, thats worked fine with their product in the backup suite they provide.
