[sims] Student somehow has "Contact" role - how to remove?

Our admin people have someone managed to make a student their own mother, they've resolved this but the student still seems to have the "contact" role and even though she's not linked to any students I can't see how to remove the unlinked contact or remove the role - it's very odd.

This should be in the student details pane itself, you can remove contacts from there (if it hasn't borked completely).

All the accounts (Mother, Father, Daughter) now have the correct contacts etc - I just can't stop the daughter being a "contact" :/

In SIMS go to "Tools | Housekeeping | Delete Unlinked Contacts" and assuming she is no-longer linked to anyone she will appear int he list. Selecting her in that focus will remove the contact element of her record. (This will not delete the student record)

^ While that usually works, it doesn't always.

 

There's a DBDiagnose script called "Contacts_but_not_of_students_v2.sql" that you can request from Capita that'll produce output that shows why an apparently unlinked contact hasn't turned up in "Unlinked Contacts".

 

The version will probably have incremented since I last requested it.

She is not showing, apparently I need to run patch 15676, which of course needs exclusive use! - another remote in from home tonight then!
