DPM upgrade failure

Hi guys

 

current setup server 2012r2, SQL 2012 and DPM 2012r2

 

Trying to upgrade to DPM 2016 and getting the following error

 

You cannot upgrade the existing installation because the DPM database version does not match with installed DPM version. Ensure correct SQL data files are copied from an existing DPM SQL instance and attached to the given SQL instance, then run the program again

 

 

In the past ive had to restore the database from our secondary DPM server so im guessing that has something to do with it maybe? ive no idea what SQL data files its on about either

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated! and if you need any further info let me know!

Hi Vicky,

 

What 2012 r2 rollup are you on? You need to be on at least rollup 10 to upgrade to 2016. Also I've PM'd you regarding a DPM issue I am having.
