Oddbod Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Or did he? Papers are full of him stating “reports of my death are greatly exaggerated…”
6Foot2 Posted October 3, 2017 Author Posted October 3, 2017 Or did he? Papers are full of him stating “reports of my death are greatly exaggerated…” Could that be something to do with the premature reporting of his death last night before the actual event? Sadly it seems like the reports of his death may not be incorrect. Link: [Tom Petty Twitter]
Dos_Box Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Very, very sad, he was on my bucket list of musicians to see should the chance ever arise.
jthompson Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I only started listening to Tom Petty a couple of years ago, after seeing him perform American Girl on one of those "Guitar Heroes at the BBC" programmes. All of his music sounds really genuine: properly good rock & roll with broad appeal that never sounds cheapened or dated. Refugee was an instant favourite when I first heard it. I loved that he looked and sounded the part, without having to resort to being a k**b about it.
