iPad Leasing

Our iPads are basically end of life not receiving updates in September.

 

Do any of you lease iPads instead of buying them?

 

Who do you use to lease them?

 

I have found one company and it's looking around £3,800 per year for 30 iPads, 1 Apple TV, charging trolley and 30 cases.

We lease all our iPads (around 1000 iPads). Some we have bought out right after the lease has ended but our 1:1 iPads are all leased. We usually buy our iPads off Jigsaw24 but recently got some more from Academia as they where cheaper. We then use a leasing company such as CHG Meridian (CHG-MERIDIAN - Efficient Technology Management) to do the finance side of it. We then pay them quarterly over a period of time.

 

Last year we bought 700+ iPad pros 9.7" on a 4 year lease. Main reason for leasing is to spread the cost, plus iPads are usually end of life after 4 years or are struggling to perform. I think you pay about 80% of the price it would be to buy them out right but this cost is also spread out over the lease.

 

I'm not involved in the finance side of things so I can't give much more information. These are things I've heard of.

Just wondering if you're spending £3800 a year and the iPads pretty much last until the problem you're facing. Not a fan of getting these for schools but I'd always prefer to buy them.

 

It saves money in the long run.

Anyway I thought Apple Education provided schemes or perhaps even BT.
