Hi all

I'm having a 'mare renewing an SSL cert on an Exchange 2016 server. Exchange just doesn't want to accept the renewed SSL cert from the provider, which I think comes down to the provider not asking for the req data during the renewal process. Not sure.

Anyhoo, I think the easiest way forward is just to install a brand new cert instead of renewing the old one.

However, before I do, has anyone done this in Exchange 2016 server? Do you know if the users with Outlook and Outlook mobile apps will get prompts when their devices and software pick up the new certificate? I'm keen not to have to deal with a million user queries if I can help it.

This is my only Exchange 2016 box (in fact it's the only Exchange server I have left in my collection) so my up-to-date experience is limited.

Thanks

I've done it a couple of times in 2013, using the Certificates dialog under Servers. Can be a bit nerve wracking but seemed to work fine. Don't remember having to attend to client devices that are synced with it at all (we renewed last year).

Thanks 3s-gtech. For some reason it is far more nerve wrecking then it really should be. Not sure why.

I'm gonna make sure the provider will cancel the new SSL provide us with credit to process a new one.
