Admin Share Issue (\\PC\C$)

I'm working with a new AV solution, Panda. Their distribution tool uses the admin share to install remotely. I have the windows firewall service disabled on my target machine. I have internet access from this machine, and can ping my distribution source from it. The reverse ping doesn't work. Any ideas as to what could be hanging this communication up?

That's also disabled. Pinging both methods. Everyone's on the same subnet.

Everytime we had this issue, it was because of DNS. No longer have it

What was your resolution? Did you have to manually add each new PC to your DNS?

I had to set the stale scavenging records.

I actually deleted the lease, registered with dns and it worked.

No dice there. I have it set to scavenge old records.

Found it. I needed to add something to the registry.
