Hosting companies

It is that time of year again when I am starting to be asked by a few individuals, that want to set up their own web space, what is the best hosting company.

 

Any recommendations for generic hosting, preferably with options for both IIS / Access / MSSQL and AMP (or LAMP)

 

Optional extras will be web-based email, ability to run a store, CMS

I part-run a Red Hat LAMP colocation server based in the US. Can setup custom hosting plans if required. Includes PHP, CGI/Perl, MySQL, email address (with webmail), cPanel web management, and Fantastico script setups (for automated CMS, forum and blog setup etc). PM me if you need any more info

I use purple cloud ( http://www.purplecloud.net ) for my mail and webhosting. They're reliable and inexpensive, though more aimed at personal / small-scale sites than corporate.
