HP 4330s and 4530s spares?

Hi all,

 

I was wondering if you know a website where they sell HP Probook spares? Line keyboards, optical drives, screens and so on? We have a bunch of them with devastated keyboards and no budget to replace for new models...

I've always gone to my usual suppliers for parts, most of the places you buy the hardware from in the first place should also be able to get parts for them.

have you google what you want i have just done it and found a few of them online

We just use Google and go with whoever looks best value. Would've thought optical drives are fairly standard (as long as the fascia is available to swap over) and plenty of places sell screens. IME the keys on the keyboards can often have different fixings below, but it might be worth seeing if you can make a few "complete" ones and then just replace the others.

Thanks for the suggestions. I recently got rid of a few laptops. Regretting it now as I should have removed the keyboards. Grrr.. Google seems a fine place and I found a website with plenty of spares. Thanks again.

Hi, you can search it on ebay.

Search ebay for the part number (normally on the back of the keyboard/screen etc) and tick 'Include item description' when searching. Usually yields cheaper prices than searching using the make + model of the laptop.

 

My theory is if they've wrecked the laptop already, they can have the cheapest parts available to fix it- on the basis they'll likely break it again.
