DCUK6 Posted May 5, 2017 Author Posted May 5, 2017 Moving away from vmware to hyper v. Looks like the vcenter converter only goes to vmware.

cpjitservices Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 disk2vhd ?? https://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/sysinternals/ee656415.aspx
PotNoodleTech Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Subscribing as I need to do a VMware to Hyperv conversion myself.
3s-gtech Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 I did all of mine using Disk2VHD - not the slickest but nice and simple and I could control the process. 1
DCUK6 Posted May 16, 2017 Author Posted May 16, 2017 Tried out the Microsoft Converter 3 on our sims server. Windows runs nice, it removes the SIMS app for some reason and cancelled the shares we had. Couldn't test installing sims and running it as it's almost time for people to start coming in so switched on the old VMware server.
mbedford Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Try this, i have used it many many times, works like a charm. Best of all its free. https://www.5nine.com/vmware-hyper-v-v2v-conversion-free.aspx#compare 1
