New classroom PC's, trial units HP/Dell etc

Hi all,

 

We need some latest gen processor (Windows 10 and dock issues!) PC's for our classrooms, probably 60 or so, but would love to SEE and trial them first. Is there any way of doing this through anyone? Rather than going individually to manufacturers, do any resellers have stock to browse!?

NUCs are a good consideration, make rooms look really neat, low power consumption and have been very reliable for us.

 

What issues are you having with Win10 and what hardware are you currently using?

I've tried to get trial units in the past, but because I wasn't buying volume they wouldn't send me any!! I've just bought some HP 280 G2 SFF machines which came with a cashback offer, making them £300 a unit. Intel i5, 8GB RAM and 256 SSD. If you want me to do a review, let me know Hahahah.

Very PC will send you demo machines to trial, as will Stone and Viglen I believe.

Been very pleased with HP prodesks which I've only just switched to from custom built ones. Managed to get i5, 8gb, 128ssd, KB, Mouse, 3yr On Site, Win 10 Pro, 21.5 FHD monitor for £500 but then successfully did the HP cashback scheme (supplier didn't expect payment until cashback was paid and provided compliant units to send back to HP). Net cost was £350 per machine.

 

However if I don't need optical drives (so anywhere except whiteboard PCs) I've been using NUC and putting them together myself. All the hardware has 3yr manufacturer warranty anyway.
