TechMonkey Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Here is an interesting one. If anyone else has cameras in their mini buses, do they come under your CCTV policy, your video recording policy or their own policy? Just reviewing some of our policies and someone mentioned the in-bus cameras and I wondered where to cover them. They aren't really CCTV, they are more specific then generally filming so unsure what they should come under. Any thoughts?
rad Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Dash cam facing away or CCTV pointing at the students? We have neither so cant comment. 1
TechMonkey Posted April 11, 2017 Author Posted April 11, 2017 Dash cam facing away or CCTV pointing at the students? We have neither so cant comment. Both. I think I will recommend a new policy, based on the CCTV policy, be created. Either AV recording on minibuses or integrate it on to the Mini bus policy. Would still be interested in hearing from anyone else if they have encounter this or are recording in their buses.
elsiegee40 Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Either adapt your cctv policy to cover the minibuses or the minibus policy to cover camera use. I am not a fan of having many policies. It's more likely to be kept up to date if it's part of another policy. 2
Mistert89 Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 We've just installed one due to vandalism by students.... ridiculous having to do this! Covered by the same policy, managed by Premises Manager.
nicholab Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 I don't know why kids what to distroy their own resources.
