jbunoomally Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Press enter a couple times or reboot the switch with the console connected to see it boot and then log in. Also make sure you've got the baud rate, parity and flow control set correctly. JB.
Sydders01 Posted April 3, 2017 Author Posted April 3, 2017 Hi @jbunoomally ,I have done that. The baud rate is 9600 it just comes up with scrambled letters Press enter a couple times or reboot the switch with the console connected to see it boot and then log in. Also make sure you've got the baud rate, parity and flow control set correctly. JB.
Davit2005 Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Baud rate for the 1950 is 38400 +1. If it is anything like the HP 1920 it will be same as 3com settings. Also if it is like the HP1920 don't expect much from the CLI unless you know the hidden command secret codes.

Depends on the firmware if they've changed it in any newer revisions but 3109 and 3112 firmwares the password was foes-bent-pile-atom-ship and i think the command was something like xtd-cli-mode.
jbunoomally Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 As @njc235 pointed out the baud rate is 38400. All the settings should be; bits per sec:38,400 data bits:8 parity:None stop bits:1 flow control: No emulation: VT100 JB.
