Smoothwall + Lightspeed MDM + iPads - Help

Hi,

 

We have just got some iPads (which I did not agree with, but we now have them) and we are using Lightspeed MDM for the setup.

 

Does anyone know how to get LSMDM to work through Smoothwall? If I hotspot the iPads to my phone they can register on LSMDM and get apps etc, but I need to setup multiple devices. When ever the iPad gets to the download registration information when on our WiFi it just says it cannot be downloaded and fails.

 

Are there specific ports or rules which I need?

I've got a whitelist for the following sites:

 

gateway.push.apple.com

next.lsmdm.com

devices.lsmdm.com

feedback.push.apple.com

lsmdm.com

courier.push.apple.com

 

Works here with that in place.

We are having a similar issue , Smoothwall is showing the following from the LSMDM IP:

 

Time Inbound interface Outbound interface........Source IP.......... Destination IP.....Protocol.....Source Port ........Destination Port...Rule...........................Action

Or at least it did work with that in place...

 

Apologies for the necro thread raising, but iPads can't download the configuration from Lightspeed.

 

Weirdly, any downloads from schools.apple.com appear as blank files (config files and spreadsheets) when downloaded through the Smoothwall. On my home connection, they work just fine.
