I always like a good challenge, and today I have been given a DMX controller that is broken. A quick wiggle of the cable and it flicks to life briefly, so after further testing we have proved it was the conenctor on the board.

So opening up the DMX controller it is really obvious that the connector needs resoldering to the board minimum (and we are hoping to do it). However, there is also some moverment in the conenctor itself, not just on the soldering to the board.

Given the connector itself might be damaged, the question is, what connector is it? Then I can go about buying another one and replacing if necessary.
