If you own the games, you can properly RDP into the PS4 with remoteplay. Which, depending on the game, is unplayable. 1

Which, depending on the game, is unplayable. id imagine (and granted these arnt all ps4 games) but it would be fine for say fire emblem but worse than useless for call of duty/street fighter

Steam link is ran over a local network though, whereas the Sony service is obviously over the internet

admars Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 I remember using OnLive a bit and was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. It was essentially as you say RDP/Citrix for games, but did a great job of letting me play PC games my PC couldn't handle any more. I guess it's a cunning way to sell those exclusive titles to the ppl that won't buy a console, and tempt others to buy a console with the "try before you buy" experience. Not trying to start a flame war, but I gave up on PC gaming ages ago, i couldn't be arsed/afford the hardware updates, driver issues, installing games, patches, although the latter 2 plague console games now

I thought this was pretty cool until I read into it and found it it was basically (as previously mentioned) just an RDP to your console. The FF7 remake looks pretty good (even though I didn't enjoy the original FF7), The Last of Us is supposed to be good, and Horizon Zero Dawn looks a'ight.* I'd be happy to buy these games 'for PS4' if there was a way to play them on my PC, but I'm not stumping the cost of the console too. * Being exclusively not-for-PC though, I haven't really paid too much attention to them, so they might actually be awful. I dunno.

I dunno. LoU is great, and I'm currently trying to get through all my non-physical PS3 games so that the PS3 can go upstairs when I get a PS4 in time for the sequel.

There wasn't really a whole lot of info when I first read about this, nothing concrete one way or the other, I just assumed connecting to console. So all I have to do is stump the cost of a game and for PS+? Or is this going to be one of those things that you can't get a PS+ account unless you own a console? Edited March 15, 2017 by Garacesh

PS Plus if for console owners to get a couple of games every month, and discounts on purchases fromt he online store, it's completely separate. if you have a ps3/ps4/vita it's v good value for money if you're not always after latest and greatest games.
