Details of the Role:The role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the ICT department in alignment with the school's objectives.

 

The school currently consists of approximately 800 workstations made up of a combination of Windows/Mac workstations, tablets, laptops, netbooks, iPads, etc.

 

The ICT Network manager will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organisation.

 

The ICT Network Manager will also define and implement ICT policies, procedures and best practices and be responsible for all aspects of the school's training facilities, new business generation and training developments.

 

Essential Qualifications:

5 x GCSE A*- C or equivalent, including Maths, English and IT.

Relevant qualifications at A Level

 

Desirable Qualifications:

Relevant qualification at Degree Level or NVQ Level 5.

 

Essential Experience:

Possess a sound working knowledge of IT systems in a school network environment.

Display sound knowledge of Microsoft client and server operating systems, especially Windows 7/10 and Windows Server 2008/2012/2014/2016.

Configuring computer hardware and software and managing projects.

Display sound knowledge of iPad/Tablet deployment.

Experience of procurement and budget management.

Ability to support Office 365 and Google Apps for Education cloud based services, and a wide array of education software portfolios.

 

Desirable Experience:

Current Network Manager in a school.

Deployment of new operating systems within the last three years.

Deployment of Large scale hardware within a school environment.

Hi,

This current live advert is now a full time, permanent position. The "1yr" line must just be an admin error left over from an earlier advert where it was previously offered as a 1yr contract.
