I currently have an issue at one of my sites, even with internal calls on our LAN.

Basically, the calls go through fine, both sides can hear each other and then randomly it'll go silent for 5-10 seconds, and then back to normal.

The phones are in their own dedicated VLAN, with QoS enabled. Latency between the server and handsets is 6ms maximum. The only thing is, there's a wireless link in place for the other extension. However, all the monitoring data I have is showing that the connection is stable, with no latency spikes etc...

Can anyone advise why these dropouts may be happening?

Hi there,

What did you put this down to in the end?

I have the same issue with an Avaya system which started two weeks ago on random phones, been working fine for just under a year and nothing has changed on the system. Vlans and qos haven’t changed.

What tools where you using to monitor this? BT are blaming the networking and not the ipo system they put in. External calls seem ok I think but they go over the isdn

Cheers
