Hi @Gongalong, Our pricing like most, tapers down depending on the number of licences you are purchasing and which features you want. As a general rule, the full NetSupport DNA solution, including all modules (like this offer) would cost a school between £10-£20 for a permanent licence RRP, + an annual maintence cost of 20%.

 

What we decided to do for this offer was make the whole package much, much more affordable by making it a single low price annual cost (and a commitment not to increase it). In truth, an annual option is not something we have done before, but customers have been asking, so we've listened and taken on board.

 

We have done various offers at different times of the year and we are always mindful of budget pressures.

Hi, yes it will revert to our normal retail prices.... at least until the next offer we do for edugeek members. We always try and be flexible though

 

We can always provide as part of our formal quote to anyone who contacts us, details showing the normal RRP based on the volume of licences they want and the offer price.

 

This is the first one we have offered our software as a low cost subscription though, so definitely a good chance to get on board for a very limited cost

Information from Sales today indicated that the pricing would be "forever" for schools that take advantage of this deal now. I guess it's like those "half price for six months" deals you get on e.g. broadband contracts...

I'd be asking the same question too, so I quite understand. The price we are offering is guaranteed for as long as you remain using the solution, so £3 each year in the future. That would absolutely be guaranteed.

Currently classroom features - show screen, testing, quiz, chat, Q&A assessment etc are all available for IOS (and android / Chrome) students. Teaching Assistant app for IOS also available alongside a Technician IOS app so you can remote control from your iphone / iPad.

 

In terms of "live" IT management similar to Windows, not currently, although we offer a standalone app so you can record an inventory of each device onto your DNA sever.

 

Although we have support for the classroom features already we are well advance on both IOS and Chrome for the IT management elements which are due to be released in the next few months.

 

It's a bit old now but this was a little video i recorded (it's not very slick), that shows us live managing all different platforms in one go.

So for example if i have 200 devices and i want NetSupport DNA then this would cost £600 excluding VAT per year? No other charges?

 

Thanks, just looking at options as ABTutor contract runs out in two months and also want something that can take most features of Securus program also.

Hi Ephelyon, Sorry you don't feel it's right for you, but everyone has a different requirement so I totally respect your decision.

 

I hope you won't mind, but for others reading, I would like to confirm the programs needed for NetSupport DNA are:

 

DNA Server - Where everything gets collected and stored

DNA Agent - on each device you want to monitor

DNA console - on any Device you want to manage your network from.

 

The above is the full NetSupport DNA solution, including Remote Control and all you need. Optionally (and where we add flexibility), for MATs, you can install a DNA Gateway so other remote sites can all connect back to your central site and server securely and allow you to remotely manage your devices.

 

 

We think Teachers have very different needs to IT technicians, so for just the classroom management, there is a separate Teacher and Student app which you deploy from DNA onto just your classroom kit (NetSupport School), this is included in the offer price. I should add, by being separate you also don't have the scenario where teaching is impacted by any activities being done with your IT Management tools. Its a handy layer of redundancy.

 

You then have agents for other platforms, Mobile Consoles for IOS and Android etc.

 

It might be a little bit different to what you have now, but we think it provides the most flexibility down the line. It also allows us to issue updates for different areas more frequently by not having them all lumped into one solution.

Hi @al80 thanks for the post ( i think ) . We have always focused our priority on a one-time cost for schools with a low annual maintenance fee, but I know some other vendors in the same space like a subscription. The truth is they like it because over time you always end up paying more. However, it can make it more attractive ( or the difference between affordable and not) in the short term. So i am looking at providing both options.

 

We will be doing another offer soon, and I posted a question in our "free NetSupport Notify" thread asking if anyone had any requests or ideas on what our next offer should / could be. I am sure NetSupport DNA will feature in one way or another.

 

In the meantime, if you are looking for a solution, full IT management, just the classroom management or Safeguarding, PM me, let me know how rubbish your budget is and I'll try and help. I'll always beat a competitors quote

I've just purchased Netsupport DNA (seems OK so far bar a couple of minor glitches). I've just seen your previous offer, did that include the school module as well? I take it that isn't the case now (that it comes with school module)? if not how much is the licensing for it?
