Pupil access to personal Email - Live, Gmail etc..

Just wondering if people allow pupils access to their personal emails, I`m thinking it maybe a security risk...Viruses etc...

We allow them access to their own email

We don't (for drama, pr0n and malware reduction reasons) but if there's something they desperately need they can use a workstation in the IT office to grab it.

 

We provide school email, OneDrive and a VLE, all of which are more than capable of transferring files in various sizes.

We block all mail other than domain gmail for all users. At work they use their work account.
