Suggestion: Theatre, Lighting and Sound forum

Hi, can I suggest a Theatre, Lighting and Sound forum, I don't think it fits under the current AV and media section.

 

I'm about to start a revamp of our School Theatre, it's more and more a mix of IT and Theatre kit, would be good to have a place to descuss it!

Good idea, I'm a nerd for lighting and sound kit! Just put in an order at a school for some movers and EV speakers!

We've recently had a massive refit of our lighting & sound in our theatre and have started reading up on lighting theory. Which I'm strangely finding interesting...

yeah, would love some moving lights, maninly to save me from getting the ladder out!

 

We're just dimmer packs currently, Just ordered a pair of LED wireless colour changing lights!

 

I hope the impress enough to replace a load of the old lights...

At present it all goes in the AV & Multimedia Related forum.

Hi my reason for suggesting it is that the AV and Media forum is a sea of class room related stuff, theatre systems are a different kettle of fish entirely.

 

Spectating it would make it more logical in my mind and bring it to a more focused audience.

Blue Room technical forum should be perfect for what you are after.

A stub forum for discussion of Education based blue room style info may well be a good idea. Large scale AV doesnt really match theatre and vice versa. @ZeroHour any chance once the new site is live do you think?
