[Progresso] Copying Colour Coding Between Assessment Screens

Good morning lovely fellow data people.

We are in the process of migrating out MIS from SIMS to Progresso. I am trying (and getting there) with setting up templates and screens and I was wondering if there was any way to copy the colour coding from one screen to another. I have tried searching in the saved condition drop down but this appears to be only able to bring up saved conditions for the current screen. I also tried copying the screen and that didn't copy the colour coding either. Really don't have the time to spend hours working on each one individually as there are 16 to do for each screen...Any secret hacks anyone has? Thanks in advance

Our senior school head set these up for senior year groups. I asked him about this and his reply was: "I couldn't copy this across either and had to do again! If there is a solution I'd like to know...." so clearly you are not alone.

I'd was hoping the copy screen would would but can see you've tried that. I presume there is no way to export a template, edit it and re-import?

Other than that, I the only idea I have is an old-fashioned programmable function-key setting to effectively fast-track through the key-strokes.

Hopefully, someone has a much more effective solution!

I have never tried this; but you can export the Assessment Structure to an XML file (so that MATs can easily set up a homogenous assessment structure) and colour conditioning does appear in that XML file:

So presumably you could set up a screen, export it and simply use Notepad++ to change the Screen, Column and Template names as necessary, then simply import the file.

 

Again though...never tried it. Can't see why it wouldn't work though.
