elsiegee40 Posted February 12, 2017 Author Posted February 12, 2017 That was a very physical match. They have a lot of work to do to patch the Scotland team back together. With better discipline and a better conversion attempt, Scotland could have nicked this one. It was pretty close
jdoyle Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 A great weekend of 6 Nations rugby. Was hoping Scotland would win - so close. Very pleased about the Ireland result but going to have a hard time vs France.
bossman Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Well pleased by England's result even though they are playing well below par!! Ireland this coming weekend England will have to bring their game up to scratch to beat them as Ireland always up their game against them! Would love to see England beat the record set by the all Blacks for longest winning run
6Foot2 Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Come on Ireland! (More in hope than expectation)
elsiegee40 Posted February 25, 2017 Author Posted February 25, 2017 Disappointed by Wales result. Scotland were the better team. I'm supporting Nigel Owens for the Ireland match (and Ireland as the home nation)
elsiegee40 Posted February 26, 2017 Author Posted February 26, 2017 Not exactly England's finest hour despite the number of tries. We were there. The wind made it a nightmare for the kickers
mikeprice Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 I thought there must be a lot of wind - very unusual for that many kicks to be missed! I thought Italy's ruck tactics were interesting - but backfired after half time when England had a break and time to work out what to do Very dissapointing that England just got confused and lost the plot all over the field rather than just around the 'ruck but not a ruck'
NotSoFast Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 It must have been a nightmare to referee. Working out if it is a ruck or not, and checking offside, then also the obstructions as we saw at one point. I think Poite got it wrong a couple of times but overall did well.
NotSoFast Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 Let's hope it's a one off though. Not great to watch. 1
6Foot2 Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 It must have been a nightmare to referee... Referee: "I am not a coach, I am a referee"
elsiegee40 Posted February 26, 2017 Author Posted February 26, 2017 Referee: "I am not a coach, I am a referee" That was said to England. He was speaking French to the Italian captain (and Argentinian who plays for Stade Francaise)
HTCPCP Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Well having watched Wales in a way that would make Romania odds on favourite if they played tomorrow, the fact that Howler is the backs coach for the lions should be ringing alarm bells not just for us Welsh!
6Foot2 Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 (edited) First blood to Ireland. [Yes!] Edit: Welsh try, no conversion. Come on Ireland. This isn't helping my blood pressure! Edit 2: I think I'll go to bed now. Edited March 10, 2017 by 6Foot2

mikeprice Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Wales v Ireland WOW - what a match both teams played fair but aggressive - could have gone either way at times but Wales were better in the end we both sat on the sofa mesmerised (and my OH is a League fan - sorry - she comes from round St Helens area - I am here on a missionary assignment)

elsiegee40 Posted March 11, 2017 Author Posted March 11, 2017 I only saw the last 15 minutes of the match as I was out yesterday evening, but still got 2 tries in. Well done Wales I hope England v Scotland is a good match today

teejay Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Fantastic performance by England, beginning to fire on all cylinders. 1
elsiegee40 Posted March 11, 2017 Author Posted March 11, 2017 Excellent England performance. Very convincing win. Looking forward to the Ireland match next week.
markwilfan Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 First match in a while we actually started and finished. Great game
mikeprice Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 so Wales won one of the best matches I have seen for ages England worked out how to play rugby at last and showed what they can do EXCELLENT weekend
SpuffMonkey Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Convincing win by England - though I was disappointed with the match really - had been expecting a real battle, but Scotland never turned up
