We have here impero running but it has its own limitation my feeling it is not covered 100%. Sometimes the automatic service fail to start, Edge not supported yet etc, the reporting feture is not great. Confide option works but the information not stored for future report. It would be good to know what software you guys are using to safeguarding purpose. It you also using BYOD then how you are pulling those keywords. Many Thanks Milon

Many Thanks Milon Have you called them about the service not starting? They should be able to look into it for you... Unless it's changed since I last heard Edge doesn't support any add-ins/extensions yet, so it's not just Impero it doesn't support... I'll be disabling Edge and leaving Chrome as the default browser when we switch to W10 though... and there's a Confide viewer in the Group tab, so they can all be viewed there, depending on permissions... It'd be worth giving their support line a call, as it does tick all the necessary boxes...

jj99 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 +1 for NetSupport DNA here, have it across out Multi Academy Trust, safeguarding team have direct access so there is no requirement for my team to make safeguarding decisions. Plus the "report a concern" which lets you track a full history, rather than the “confide” feature in Impero which does not have anywhere near the functionality. NetSupport is just more thought about... it just works.. Happy to give you further info!!

The new version 4.4 is now available to download for new customers (was published yesterday), we will be making the smart update ( your console will detect this and prompt you to update) later today. I always like to ensure once the release is there, we do another pass on the smart update process just to make sure we haven't done something silly. I will post here for you as soon as the smart update is published. On a plus, we had 1,000+ enquiries at BETT ( no wonder the team were knackered on saturday eveing), our biggest by quite some way, so we are working through all the requests for demos as quickly as we can. If you are on an older version, you can download the full setup from our website and run the update from any older version automatically. Just as a reminder of some new bits : Remote Control is now integrated for free within NetSupport DNA (you don't need any other NetSupport products), we also now feature a remote Powershell, Registry editor, Services & process manager and other tech tools. Safeguarding now includes video capture and playback, along with bookmarking and export for multiple events, and we have added more languages to our leyword packs, so now in additiona to English you can support and monitor your students typing in French, German, Urdu, Czech, Lithuanian, Polish, Romanian, Latvian, Portuguese, Slovak or Spanish. All the keyword liabriaries have been developed with local schools and community leaders. There is a new Vault for techies to keep a central record of important data (everyone loved this at BETT when they saw it), a new central audit feature so you can see what everyone across sites has been doing with NetSupport DNA, an updated comms infrastructure to support much bigger implementations, faster, new reporting options in our query tool and loads more tweaks based on your feedback ( thank you). Promise no bugs - We have tried to deal with any we have found, but i am sure there are bound to be one or two lurking somewhere in there that we have missed. The true test though, and one we have always done our best with, is if we find one, and it impacts users, we will hold our hands up, apologise and fix it quick. The remote management features have worked straight out of the box and I'm sure they'll be used all the time. I need to trigger a high alert and check the video - but that'll have to wait until the morning now. Thanks Al and please pass on our thanks to your team. 2
