Was just browsing around look for decent deals on storage servers and came across racksurf.co.uk from a company called xcase. Think i've heard of xcase before but rack surf looks new - they start in feb.

For cheap storage (and Servers for that matter) we buy refurbished Dell hardware that comes with a 3yr NBD warranty (and you can extend that after the 3yrs are up should you wish). We get them from Server Source - Europe's Leading provider of Refurbished Dell PowerEdge and PowerVault servers

 

Ask for Joe and they can sort you out a quote if you tell them what you need/want to do.

I've got some wonderful direct attached devices at the moment?

 

How about a HP MDS600? You can fill with with up to 210TB worth of drives and it links up nicely with your proliant server via the handy P812 controller we ship with the storage array

Prices start at £1150 for the MDS600, Smart Array P812 with 1GB Flash Backed Write Cache & 35 x 400GB 3.5" HP SAS HDD. You'll get 2 years warranty on all hardware as standard.

 

You can fit up to 70 drives, all the way up to 3TB per drive, bur prices obviously increase dramatically at that point!

 

I'd suggest you would also need at least a G6 HP Server to fit the Raid Controller into.
