Two badges...

I like a few on here always like to carry two badges, one being my real one for stuff I'm interested in and one for the wand warriors who leap out at you from all angles as you walk round..

 

However, is it just me or is this not possible this year as the badges have to be sent to a real email address? I could easily setup a throwaway account but before I do that am I missing a trick?

Yup, I only have one email address, I like to use an email account I administer myself. The problem with setting an alias address on the school account is that some then send to admin@ the same domain when it bounces back...

 

Just created a throwaway mail.com account. Mildly annoying but I'll kill it as soon as the badge arrives....

just colour in some of the stripes on the QR code and barcode on one side of your badge, hey presto no more drive by scanning

 

NB only do one side, you'll need the other to get in!

I just use an email forwarder on my own domain redirected to my normal account to receive the badge, then deleted for things like that... works perfectly...

Ive got my 2 badges now. I just added a [email protected] to my mailbox and deleted once i had the badge. I created the fake one first.

 

Could we stick a fake badge up on here for people to use. All they have to do ia change the details on the ticket.

Is it just me that sticks the badge in my pocket after I'm scanned in, then only show it to those I want to receive info from?

You keep registering. It took me 3 attempts to get my badge.
