kearton Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Has a floorplan map (I usually print it off on A3) been released for this year yet? (I can't find one, but in previous years it's been hard to find)
timbo343 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I twitted to them matey, but heard nothing back. I usually print it off too and post up here as soon as i find it but not heard or seen owt as of yet . Only the APP gives the map at the moment. 2
timbo343 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 (edited) Is this 2017's? EDIT: Its last years - removed link Edited January 11, 2017 by timbo343
timbo343 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Ok, so i've spoken to BETT and they said they don't have one as of yet, they usually release a week before the show. She said check back next week. 2
timbo343 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 The general direction is to use the app. But some of us are old school and like to see a list of who are there and where their stand is. Theres nothing like having a pen and paper rather than looking a small screen . No doubt we'll get handed a pocket map when we get there. 1
timbo343 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Ive had a reply toy email when the map will be available.. A marked visitor floor plan is not yet available for BETT. This may be ready the week before the show – but might not be available for download until the show opens as we can make changes up until we go on site. Please feel free to contact me should you need further assistance. Kind Regards,
Sylv3r Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I must admit, I love getting my highlighter pens out and marking off where I need to go.... and who to avoid ! 1
southhamster Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Marker pens. That's a good idea which I shall now use!
Ianellis Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 I've just been looking for one and not found it. I like to have it before hand to mark on who I want to visit.
timbo343 Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 Ive managed to find this map which is the 2017 map but it doesn't have any reference to who the stands are http://www.bettshow.com/files/01_bett17_guide_floor_plan.pdf 1
Ianellis Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 It's now on!!! http://www.bettshow.com/files/01_bett17_guide_floor_plan.pdf
timbo343 Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 It's now on!!! http://www.bettshow.com/files/01_bett17_guide_floor_plan.pdf That's the same as what i found but doesn't show who the stands are.
Ianellis Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 No, but the list is on http://www.bettshow.com/Bettexhibitorlist2017 so you can at least start planning your route.
timbo343 Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 I don't see why they couldn't have put it all on one sheet. I've tried ringing them and there's no answer.
Sephiroth Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 My manager emailed them this morning and just got a response. Apparently they're releasing a full map at the beginning of next week. We'll see what happens!
Harlquinth Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 Just wondering if anyone's heard any further news on a combined map/exhibitor list yet? The online exhibitor list isn't much use if you can't save/download it somehow to print it off or use offline. (The internet isn't always the most reliable at Bett, and I prefer a paper copy as well since it's much easier to read/write on than a small screen - assuming your phone even supports the app/website!) Thanks, Hq.
GrumbleDook Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 The combined map is only likely to be available on Wednesday. Since the move from Olympia there is still some horse trading that goes on quite late, so whilst the final changes to the map are not included in the brochure you get, they will be online. Also, the map is now there to supplement the app, not the other way around. Use the app to pinpoint the stands then mark it on your map. The intention is to eventually phase out a map, in favour of the app.
Harlquinth Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 Have just tried to install the app on my android tablet, but it says "Your device isn't compatible with this version" (even though it's only a month old tablet!) ... Perhaps I should try contacting the Bett organisers - maybe if they have enough people ask, it won't be phased out as quickly! Thanks, Hq.
Harlquinth Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 After not getting very helpful replies from the Bett organisers, I decided to create my own list instead using the version off the website - have uploaded it here in case anyone else finds it of use: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_hfK_cSP-m1aHFJVDR1RllURXM/view?usp=sharing (For some reason I couldn't get uploading straight to the forum to work.) Hope that helps! Thanks, Hq.
