Hi All

I have had a large number of staff come to me complaining that since their laptop was PAT tested a few weeks ago, that their battery life has reduced a lot.

Has anyone else experienced reports of these?

Many thanks

I have a feeling that they tested the laptops as well, by plugging the charger into the laptop and the testing device and tested it that way

You may wish to query them about if they did, and then send large invoice a) for time wasted, and b) damages :D

We once had a PAT tester start to PAT test individual USB cables with a USB-mains adapter he'd found onsite once. He was quickly shown the door.

I know they're often paid per device, but that was taking the mickey!

our laptops are subjected to an inspection. Any damage exposing innards and they are failed. They are never plugged into the machine. I agree with the comment above that mentions an invoice for damages! Talk to your SBM about it.
