A colleague who I work with at times is reviewing their MS licensing for a not for profit charity training association.

Currently they license all desktop OS using a 3 year OVS-ES agreement, a 3 year contract with 12 monthly reviews where they have a head count of staff and students and renew.

He is wondering about Office, they can renew this on the OVS-ES which covers desktop and VDI as that comes in at a cost and then he has to license O365 on top, students are free on the charity license but staff cost.

It soon adds up and they are looking to reduce the costs, this has gone up with the various MS changes but I am a little out of touch with licensing and thought I would throw it open to you lot.

Thanks

If they are a registered charity the CT Exchange as was is the best place for Charity Licenses. This is who they are now - https://www.tt-exchange.org/

I did my Local Age UK branch years ago and it was about £100 for everything we ever could dream of, Server, SQL, PCs etc.. and we also go some cheap Cisco kit and they had offers for other things that they liked.
