Hi,

I am having issues with the TTS easy view visualisers. One minute they were working the next they stopped. I was told that after a windows update

they stopped working. I am using Windows 8.1 and 10. When I launch the TTS software it comes up with a blank white screen. When it does work it picks up

the on board camera instead of the TTS easi-view visualiser. I have tried disabling the on board camera but then when I come to launch the software the

laptop crashes (Blue screen). Whenever the option of selecting the TTS easi-view is available nothing happens when I select it. I have checked device

manager and the laptop has picked up the TTS easi-view visualiser. The visualiser is old so I don’t think TTS still sell them. I have checked their website for

updated software but no luck. I have tried software for a newer model of the TTS Easi-view but that crashes the system when I select it. The Model number

for the easi-view is EL00052.

When I checked the Windows updates there is nothing there that is obvious, majority of the updates are for MS Office, adobe acrobat

reader DC, MS Sliverlight, MS Visual C+ and a few Microsoft Windows updates.

Any help towards the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Thanks for that.

I have downloaded the software and it works, but the problem is everything is blurred. Is there no way of focusing with this software as the visualiser has no focus button. Do you know of any other software I can download to use?

I've just been and tried it - we've got two version, one has a manual focus ring on it, the latest ones just autofocus when you put something under it.

Is that two different software for the WebcamViewer? I have downloaded the software mention by Joanna in the above thread using the link given. I have checked the software interface and it doesn’t have the manual focus ring and it doesn’t auto focus when I put something underneath it. I have inserted a picture below.

I would question whether the visualiser is actually working correctly then as the autofocus just works on ours using the same software

We have a fair few of the visualisers in school, I will check with different ones and see the outcome. They are really old....

Thanks for your support. :)

Unfortunately I cannot help with the exact problem you have, not being on Windows 8 or 10...

However, I did find a couple of these 'visualisers' in a cupboard when I started and couldn't get them to work - so I gave up and forgot all about them (we have a few lovely Aver ones anyway).

Here is the issue I faced:

Now, the only thing that might help is that I think that they do NOT auto-focus all the time (even though it says so on the box) maybe something to do with the TTS drivers (USB2.0 UVC WebCam), control/display software, OS, or a combination... There are a few threads on here saying they have the same issue, stretching back quite some time.

But I have attached a screenshot below, because I went to find them from the 'really good idea & useful IT purchases' cupboard.

I used a different 'generic' webcam software (AMCAP) to test as I already had that installed for something else before and could not get the image to focus (similar to the webcam software others have offered I guess), then I tried installing the Easi-View software. Well, this time it didn't bug out on me, but the only way I could get it to focus was to use the button on the software.

Also a few other things helped, I mean it isn't great but they are dirt cheap... Choosing different preview resolutions (larger is better), different lighting and pulling the display/preview out of full window mode (YMMV).
