Anyone mind posting their average latency to the Azure CDN?

I'm using the tool here: Azure Speed Test to gauge latency between our site and Azure datacentres for a potential project.

 

We're within spec (average of 32-35 ms) for the closest datacentres, but the "Content Delivery Network" is way out of spec (at ~200ms), so I'm wondering if the vendor has used desired latency figures for West Europe and North Europe (dynamic content) for the CDN (static content) as well.

 

Alternatively it may be that our RBC connection has terrible latency and someone upstream needs a kick.

Well, I get two very different answers depending if i go via smoothwall or not

 

Content Delivery Network * 151ms

West Europe 168ms

North Europe 180ms

West UK 447ms

 

 

 

Content Delivery Network * 46ms

West UK 49ms

South UK 50ms

North Europe 56ms

West Europe 62ms

 

Not sure that helps, but might do I'm assuming you should be showing up as UK too, but with our Smoothie seems to be putting us to EU as well.

Yeah, I'm testing without the SW and the CDN still has high latency using the link above. Interestingly, the cloudharmony test (https://cloudharmony.com/speedtest-for-azure NB: takes ~43 minutes to run, hence why I didn't ask you guys to use it) shows the Verizon-hosted CDN has less latency.
