dtakias Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Does anyone know how to remove the shadow from desktop shortcuts? I remember I was doing it in the past somehow, maybe with tweakui but I cant remember now and Ive been searching the web with no success...
dtakias Posted February 19, 2008 Author Posted February 19, 2008 if i disable active desktop how will i be able to force the same wallpaper to all computers across the domain. Is there a way to place it in the local profile and use it without having active desktop to be in operation ?
jamin100 Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Have you looked at BGInfo from M$ ? Link Gives a really professional looking background. Just add the a line in the login script to run your customized BGinfo file.

Is that what you want?
jamin100 Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 No i think he means the box around the icon titles under Active Desktop
dtakias Posted February 20, 2008 Author Posted February 20, 2008 It was cause by active desktop yes. I was aware of the setting on the local pc, but I wasnt aware that same thing happens when using crappy active desktop Bginfo looks really clever. Its again that guy from sysinternals who was employed by microsoft.. I hope I can deploy BGinfo with group policy.
Domino Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 you can by using a script that runs at logon, with bginfo and the conf file on a network share. Set objShell = CreateObject("Wscript.Shell") objShell.Run "\\SERVER\Netlogon\BGinfo.exe \\SERVER\Netlogon\Config.bgi /nolicprompt /timer:0", 1, True
