Anyone still playing this? I went back to it yesterday for the first time in a month or 2. Oh my I was impressed. I was playing at a pretty constant (apart from the odd drop here and there) 60fps last night, albeit only on Medium graphical settings (still surprising as I'd of thought my rig would be powerful enough for more than medium). It was joyful compared to what it was as I had no chance of playing at anything more than 30fps last time I tried.

 

And does Blizzard Mountain look cool or what?!?!

Blizzard mountain is fantastic. Must admit I was a little annoyed after buying the ultimate edition that I now had to dish out more cash for the expansion but it was worth every penny! Who knew Driving a Mercedes AMG GTR in the snow could be so much fun.

It hasn't worked on my system since the day I installed it, just crashes on load, not bothered because I have it on the Xbox but it'd be nice to be able to play it upstairs too.

I have to agree, I too bought the Ultimate Edition and was properly miffed to find out they wanted more cash after the £80 original cost!! I'm yet to buy Blizzard Mountain but I'm sure my need will make me if I start to play this one as much as I did FH2 now it seems to be running a bit better.

The 40+Gb re-install is putting me off to be honest.

 

Blizzard mountain will probably be reduced in price soon, I know Storm Island on FH2 was reduced not long after release, I think I picked that up for under a tenner.

played blizard mountain a bit but not since xmas. Keep trying on my laptop but because alienware use custom drivers for my 1070 the version number is too low it complains at startup but does load but i dont think ive managed to play for more than 10 mins esp annoying as forza apex runs fine in 4k at 60fps. I do think that when horizons 4 comes out im going to wait this time and probably not bother with dlc i dont think ive got my moneys worth from £100 or so ive had much more hours dumped into pokemon sun/moon

53Gb to be exact! I will be waiting a while to pick it up as I'm going to play more of the base game first. Although I'm not I've ever seen anything mainstream go on sale on the Windows Store. Fingers crossed they drop drop the price of BM or the expansion pass.

might be longer as theres a 2nd expansion due and you can purchase a cheaper pack with both so i dont expect blizard mountain to be cheap until some time after expansion 2 is released

True but being that it's a play anywhere title I'm sure they'd have to reduce the price on the Windows store if it goes on sale on the xbox store and DLC gets reduced all the time on there.

if not just buy it in the xbox store you can do that from the xbox app on a pc and fh3 was on sale over xmas so presumably will be again

I've just upgraded to the new i5 and DDR4 RAM and thought I'd give it a try for the 5 minutes I could spare, and I can now run it at 60fps with better graphics settings. Thing is, after trying Watch Dogs 2 and not seeing much of a performance improvement, I was shocked. Has FH3 been optimised greatly in the time I've been away from it, or is it the new hardware? Could be a bit of both, I suppose...

Your setup is very similar to mine (same GPU, almost the same PSU power) so it's good to see that it's finally playable! I'm definitely going to go back to it, and then I'll make a more informed decision about that Blizzard Mountain DLC...

I did the final showcase event the other night. Still lots of events/championships to complete. I've not even found all the barn finds/bucket list events yet. I'll definitely be getting the expansion pass probably (MORE MONEY PLAYGROUND, REALLY?!). As Blizzard Mountain looks pretty damn amazing and the leaked Porsche DLC Expansion will be dropping at some point as well.
