j224 Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Has anyone started deploying this yet? I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk about it on the forums, unless I just can't find the thread?!
DJ-1701 Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Well, three iPads the Primary I support had it installed last week as when supervising with Configurator 2 it forces the latest iOS to be download and installed. As a few have found out, the annoying thing is you have to read the text at the bottom of the iPad that says to press the home button to unlock the screen and not swipe.

Yeah, makes sense if you're using the fingerprint sensor but not so useful for schools with shared iPads.
PR-UK Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Noticed that updates to Apple Configurator 2 and Meraki support the ability to block modifications to Bluetooth settings in iOS 10, very handy if you're rolling out Apple Classroom and don't want students turning Bluetooth off!

Yea, we've got this in our MDM but it only allows us to stop modification of Bluetooth so if it's off when we enable this profile, it will stay off and they can't edit it. Apple need to allow it so we can make it always on. One issue we're seeing is an iPad will get stuck on "Installing Configuration for ". The iPad doesn't get past this screen and just hangs. The work around I've found is to restart the iPad by holding the home and power button. Quickly rush through the setup pages and skip wifi connection. When the Config profile page re-appears, press the home button and the iPad will load. Edited September 19, 2016 by RLR
