Wubbalubbadub Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Anyone else enjoying the filter 14 Woes!? A site with no broadband.. Again!
clockend25 Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Is that the same one that has the issues before? Filter 5 seems to be OK.
sted Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 just had an email saying it should be back to normal (but im not on filter 14 so cant confirm)
whs1000 Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 On filter14 and was down earlier, luckily we have a backup line sorted now as it seems to happen every now and then
Blue_Cookeh Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 (edited) Working remotely today and my SB VPN just dropped 5-10 mins ago. Fantastic EDIT: Ok, really not happy now. We moved all our phones over to SIP lines in the holiday (unfortunately our backup broadband isn't in until Tuesday) so it's knocked all our phones out. Luckily I kept a POTS line in as backup, but it's kind of unacceptable. Edited September 9, 2016 by Blue_Cookeh
SchoolsBroadband Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Hello folks, sorry for the inconvenience caused we had Lightspeed filter 14 cluster fail. This was fixed by engineers in a touch over 15 minutes. All other customers such as Sted on filter 5 were not affected Thanks Dave
whs1000 Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Hi David Did you manage to upgrade the light speed clusters to 3 devices during the Summer upgrades or is that still to be done ? Hello folks, sorry for the inconvenience caused we had Lightspeed filter 14 cluster fail. This was fixed by engineers in a touch over 15 minutes. All other customers such as Sted on filter 5 were not affected Thanks Dave
SchoolsBroadband Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 not all of them are 3 node clusters but the 3 latest clusters are. We've also upgraded the Fortinets to new FortiOS (there's new features on there for you to try) and added an additional 4 x Fortigates and also new Cisco 9000 series ASR routers to increase capacity. Dave
whs1000 Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Is filter14 getting the new design of 3 nodes ? as the lightspeed cluster seems to be the weakest link atm causing all the issues which is very frustrating, fortigates have been stable (noticed the new version over the holidays but not had time to have a try of the new features)
speckytecky Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 I'm sorry to read this but I have to say I'm so glad we stayed with SWGfL - I've been with them in schools now for 12 years and apart from the odd glitch (one over the start of the new post Christmas Holiday in particular remains a prominent memory!) have been delighted with the service and support they give.
