  1. We had similar issue recently, try opening creative cloud package, top right hand corner log out of your account. Once signed out click the first option Creative cloud for teams/education and sign in again, go to the create package and see if you have the new options for license type
  2. Do the iiyama screens come with any board software (similar to activinspire) ?
  3. For those using Vpass, how does it deal with Fire Registers and no Internet ?
  4. Is filter14 getting the new design of 3 nodes ? as the lightspeed cluster seems to be the weakest link atm causing all the issues which is very frustrating, fortigates have been stable (noticed the new version over the holidays but not had time to have a try of the new features)
  5. Hi David Did you manage to upgrade the light speed clusters to 3 devices during the Summer upgrades or is that still to be done ?
  6. On filter14 and was down earlier, luckily we have a backup line sorted now as it seems to happen every now and then
  7. The Dude for monitoring if devices are up (you can also monitor bandwidth between links but we dont use that) and PRTG for monitoring switches bandwidth/ports/wan links.
  8. We got moved to a different filter so not sure if it was fixed on filter11 cluster, it was working on the new filter straight away
  9. Unfortunately my views of Schools Broadband atm are not great, we did all the research and got feedback from alot of schools and it all sounded great but from install to now has been a nightmare - we got moved from filter 11 eventually and it has been better for the last week but not "rock solid" on our connection every now and then packets are dropped for about 30-40 seconds which doesn't sound alot but is enough time for students/staff to come see us and say internet is down, teachers inputting grades on websites, if they click the save button when the line is down they then have to re-type everything back in as it times out, phone calls will be dropped or scrambled if on SIP. Since the move the filtering report emails are no longer working so I am having to manually screenshot reports and email them to the relevant people for PREVENT and suspicious queries but still waiting on this to be fixed. Dave keeps saying the "vast majority of customers" have been fine but I dont care about the other customers being OK, I only care about our schools service.
  10. What software are you using with pfsense ? we are testing pfsense + NXFilter at the moment for our backup line
  11. I did not receive any info about planned maintenance but just received an email saying that we have been manually failed over to another lightspeed child as something wrong with the one we were on
  12. Anybody else have issues overnight or just me ? Services went down at around 11PM last night and didnt come back online until this morning at 7.30am when I rang Schools Broadband, it was pretty much sorted straight away so may just have been someone turned off the wrong switch last night...
  13. Thank you, we were told by Schools Broadband that SIP is vlaned off via a different route so would not have been affected by the current issues if we were with them for SIP - I will have to double check this
  14. Do you have SIP lines with Schools Broadband or with another company as we are currently looking at moving to SIP, we have asked Schools Broadband and some other companies for prices.
  15. Who did you go with in the end as we are in the same boat (PM if you want), we asked for prices for SIP with Schools Broadband but nothing received yet, luckily we didn't have SIP lines with them as you can imagine the mess if internet and phones are down!
  16. @SchoolsBroadband Thanks for the explanation but it doesn't explain why it has taken 4 weeks and still have problems, max capacity should have been planned before putting schools on the filter11 cluster. I dont know why updates would cause a major problem, there should be spare bandwidth capacity for these occasions as it comes round every month or is the amount of traffic crashing the rockets ? does Windows Updates traffic need to go through lightspeed ? what caused the issues on the other 7/8 outages...
  17. @SchoolsBroadband - Why has it taken 4 weeks and we still have issues ? I believe but I may be wrong, originally on filter 11 it was 2 rocket cluster, 11 and 12, but it never failed over, so you replaced filter11 with some older hardware whilst new hardware was delivered, now it is a 3 rocket cluster, filter11, 12, management but this also didn't work so now do we have 2 clusters of 3 rockets each load balanced ? or a cluster of 6 rockets load balanced ? but still not working if this morning was related to the ongoing issue ?
  18. Unfortunately there is a limit to how much can be claimed for - "Service Credits are limited to not more than 5 days in any Quarter (Jan-Mar, Mar- Jun, Jun – Sep, Sep – Dec)" The whole month should be refunded as it has been going on for over 4 weeks now but the money isn't really an issue, we want to use the services paid for and quite often we haven't been able to. We would also consider moving ISP if Schools Broadband allow it without penalty. As has been mentioned, even if the "short" downtime this morning (short or long doesn't matter as it affects teaching if its 5 minutes or hours) the filtering still doesn't behave as it should for hours - ie staff can not get access to youtube as they are not authenticated, ssl inspection doesn't work and so on.
  19. Posted in another thread but we are on filter11, since we joined we have had nothing but problems - the school have lost confidence in their services - where is the high availability and redundancy we were promised ?
  20. Schools Broadband down again this morning, we are also getting issues with ssl inspection
  21. We have Pars and Insight, both work great and the support team are very flexible with any improvements required, new version of Insight coming soon that gives it a modern visual upgrade

    SSD in server

We have Intel 520s and Samsung 840 Pro in all servers, Raid 10, no problems since we started and a big improvement over the previous SAS drives. Ignored Enterprise SSD drives due to price and I personally believe they are all similar, we did purchase our SSDs in different batches just incase the same batch fails at the same time
  23. What issues are you still getting ? ours is up at the moment but it normally goes down during first lesson due to the increase in traffic so fingers crossed it has actually been sorted over the weekend. The issues with filter11 for us first started on 13th April, 4 weeks ago
  24. Are you looking for onsite or cloud filtering/firewall ? when we were looking my preference was for an internet line on its own and then go with onsite filtering/firewall that I could manage but our new ISP managed to convince me otherwise with cloud based light speed and fortinet as they had all the high availability / redundancy so nothing would go down which we couldn't afford to replicate - but that hasn't turned out very well, if we had gone with onsite filtering/firewall I don't think we would have had any downtime. But from what I have seen fortinet and lightspeed are good products, some schools I know just use fortinet for filtering with fortianalyzer for reporting.
  25. Schools Broadband down 10.22, up 10.59, down 11.22, and just come back up at 12.00
