New Dell Desktop 3040 and HP Printer CM2320nf issue

Hi,

 

We have recently purchased some new Dell Desktops Dell optiplex 3040s which work brilliantly with most things. However i have recently tried to install the software for an HP Printer cm2320nf connected by usb (full solution) to one of them and i keep getting "USB driver, USB Hardware" error (see picture). At the moment the printer works if i install just the driver but not the scanner.

 

We have windows 7 installed on the desktops and it previously worked fine on our old desktops which had the same version of windows. The soaftware should install regrdless of whether a printer is connected or not which is why i believe it is something to do with the desktop. I have tried another Dell 3040 and same result. Tried on an optiplex 7010 and the soaftware installed fine. I have also checked the system requirements and they seem to be fine too. Any ideas or alternatives to get around this?

Got the proper chipset drivers installed?

Yep ... even reinstalled it and upgraded it to the latest one from the intel website

Maybe roll back to an older driver?

Delete usbready.exe from the setup directory?
