Hiya,

We're after a printer which will feed more than one envelope at a time. All we can find at the moment are ones for about £3K! Has any got any experiences of slightly cheaper options?

Thanks

No matter what the question to do with printers, the answer is always Kyocera :-)

In this case, FS3900DN with an envelope feeder (EF-310). List prices are £635 and £189 but you should expect to pay less than that (I think we currently pay about £430 for the printer with a 3 year on-site warranty)

If you can persuade people to use window envelopes then you don't need to print envelopes or labels and life is much easier (no worries, either, about getting the right letter in the right envelope!)

It was a pretty straightforward task for me to adjust the Word template for our headed paper to suit Window envelopes - including a tiny grey line at the side to show where the first fold needs to be for DL envelopes.

I'd look at this option first.

Thanks for all the tips. We're sticking with printing envelopes at the moment rather than windowed envelopes mainly because whoever did the ordering last time got a little carried away with the amount!! Consequently we have several hundred envelopes and they are against ordering even more envelopes with windows.

Label printers not a bad idea though....

Thanks

Understandably - Linux-based envelopes would avoid vendor lockin.

Sorry, it's Friday, I'll shut up now...
