jmair Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Is there a way to make a dead zone for Pokémon Go on campus? It's break for us now, but I can already see a sudden influx of students wandering the parking lots during a 'locker run' or 'restroom break'. Aside from banning personal devices, is there a way to restrict this yet?

US Holocaust museum asks Pokemon Go players to stop - BBC News Yes, I would also like my site removed from the game. Though it's possible the fad could be over in 30 days I suppose.
Fazza Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 How many Pokemon do you have on your sites then? I've only found one and that was sitting on the ledge of our IT Services external door!

LemonEntry Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 This is a meatspace issue. As long as the students are following school rules and policy regarding use of personal devices (including cameras) and remaining away from restricted areas, what's the issue? We've blocked the game API domain at our firewall to protect other wireless network users. Other than that, what they do on their own devices, is none of our business.
rad Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Question - How are the pokemon added to the "game" how is the spread of them allocated? I am not and will not download this thing.
JackCPickup Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 There's a form online you can fill in to get your business/premises cleared of Pokemon, sorry I don't have a link, but I believe there's an extremely long waiting list on it at the moment.

There is an article about it here: Pokémon Go: How to request or remove a PokéStop or Gym | GamesBeat | Games | by Jeff Grubb To request a change to the PokéStops in your neighborhood, go to Niantic’s website and fill out this support form. It asks for the reason for your request, and you can choose one of the following options: Issues with Gym Battles Dangerous PokéStop or Gym No PokéStops or Gyms near me PokéStop or Gym does not exist Report a PokéStop on my personal property If you’re trying to remove a PokéStop, you’ll need the exact name of the location — such as Walter White’s House from the TV show Breaking Bad.
