Hi All

Not sure if this has been brought up before, I did have a quick look and couldn't find anything.

In the last year, at 2 of the primary schools we support, we have had 3 Molex to 2 SATA cables Spontaneously melt. The first one filled a class room full of smoke and the fire alarm was triggered. The second one some one spotted it before it got to bad.

Then this last week one melted in a server filling the staff room full of smoke.

We have been in touch with the manufacture but as yet haven't had much of a response from them.

I would urge any one with the following connecters to replace them as soon as possible, See picture

The first 2 were in computers a local company had made for the school, pre my time. The third was in a HP server but must have missed the recall.

Just seems funny how they have been fine for 8 years, yes the computers are that old, then suddenly melt
