@tim7777

It looks as if it is a one user license for data managers if you read the paragraph underneath the picture, I get the feeling for a whole school use it will cost?

I don't know for sure but that is the way it reads for me!

What do you think?

Edit: It's my eye's @tim7777 not got my glasses on sorry my bad thats 2 posts this morning hehe! "Senior moment!" it is free for the whole school system :)

We use it and have been using since November 15. Ive had some input into it too like the green button on the bottom.

I gound out how to delete cards too, just remove the name.

Support is excellent, the developer is keen to know how it can be improved too.

The only thing i cant get working is the compare feature as we dont use Aspects in SIMS.

Can this work with seating plans for exams in secondary schools ?

Yep, im sure it can. Why not install it and try it. Its free for state / LA schools but private / academies have to pay to install it.

It's actually free for all schools now - but only works synching with SIMS at present. Unfortunately there's no exam seating built in - the idea was for classroom management. I'm not certain how useful the photos would be given 220 kids sitting an exam in a gym...

There will be a new edition in September - so any suggestions for improvements welcome. The core system will remain free in perpetuity, but I'm looking to add "premium" features that would allow me to work full time on the system. I'm not permitted to advertise on here, though, so I won't be doing that. :)

How do I go about downloading this, I've been on the website and filled in the form but can't see any download links.

They will be in contact with you and send out the link for you to get the download.

Does anyone know how much Class Charts charge for their software which has similar functionality?

We use Class Charts and from memory it's about £2.00ish a pupil a year.

Thanks for your interest, and I now think I've sent you the download link (guessing from your username!). Thing is, I like to make sure I know who is using the software, so I don't get random and unexpected enquiries about what's going on. Therefore, I encode your DFE number into the system as a valid user.

This will become more important in September, when I attempt to charge for the package. It'll be free for the system as is now (with a recommended £100 a year donation), or £500 per year for the premium version, which will come with a heap of brand new features. This will be free to demo until October half term (and if ordered before then it'll cost just £250 for the 2016/17 academic year).

I was talking to our exams officer yesterday who had just got back from an exams officer conference and she was saying that how do external invigilators know that the right student is sat at the right desk doing the right exam. We get round it currently by having a member of slt in the exam hall at the start of every exam. We currently print exam place cards for every student and we are going to be putting the students photos from SIMS onto these place cards for next year.

Ah - right you are! Consider it done, in that case - set of place cards with picture, name, exam and centre number? I could do a few different templates to work with particular Avery sticky labels...

I believe ours are 1/4 of a page of a4 as we put other info on the cards as well like, if they are entitled to 25% extra time, alternate venue, reader, rest breaks, word processor etc.
