Edu-IT Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 (edited) I thought I was imagining things but I'm not. When I click Log Out it says that all cookies have been cleared but then when I click the forums link I'm still logged in and can reply to posts. Anyone else find this? Browser is Mozilla Firefox version 2.0.0.11. Edited February 27, 2008 by ZeroHour
FN-GM Posted February 9, 2008 Report Posted February 9, 2008 When you come to mention I have noticed this too in FF at work. Z
EduTech Posted February 9, 2008 Report Posted February 9, 2008 I just tried that just to check, and it does it to me too James 1
Edu-IT Posted February 11, 2008 Author Report Posted February 11, 2008 I'm glad you've reported the same problem as I thought that it was me.
ZeroHour Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Hmm I cant recreate it here in any browser. Can you try flushing all your cookies/cache and then restart the browser and try again. Some of the cookies settings were tweaked a few weeks ago and I am wondering if its a hangover. When you click "log off" it will still display your details on the "cleared cookies" page but when you click to go else where that box should clear.

I have tried that but it doesn't make a difference, it did it at home and work and it also does it on my laptop. I can click log off and go to the home page and then back to the forums and I'm still logged in and able to post.
elsiegee40 Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 (edited) Me too. I'm at home today running Windows XP and IE7 and I'm posting this after doing exactly as directed in earlier posts. I'll give it a go at school when I get back... Edited February 12, 2008 by elsiegee40
Andie Posted February 20, 2008 Report Posted February 20, 2008 Me too, but only in the last week at home! Running Vista Home Premium at home with IE 7. At school, the problem has been that it takes ages to say that it has logged me out, and then sometimes it hasn't - running XP Prof and IE 6 there.
ZeroHour Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 Its now happening to me on one browser at home so I can test and try and find a solution. Will keep you posted.
ZeroHour Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 Can you try now. I made a change to the logout routine and I cant test as I am not at home.
Andie Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 (edited) My Vista with IE7 setup at home has let me log out first time now. Edited February 24, 2008 by Andie Badly worded first time round!
ZeroHour Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 New frontpage is out so that should cure the issue after I pull joomla fully tonight. For more info on the frontpage see here
Edu-IT Posted February 27, 2008 Author Report Posted February 27, 2008 It's still happening at the moment. I'll try again tomorrow.
ZeroHour Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 Can you try clearing your cookies and restarting the browser. Not sure how you could have a locked vbulletin cookie. The joomla cookie could be locked but unless you browse to the joomla parts you should remain logged out.
