tl82 Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Can anyone tell me if AirServer works fine on a Ubiquiti UniFi network? I have a Meru network that I have had to open specific ports on the controller to get AirServer working in the classrooms. I've downloaded a copy of the UniFi software and can't see any menu's regarding opening ports. Not heard anything back for Ubiquiti tech support on this matter. I really want to switch out the Meru and install UniFi in every classroom over the summer but if AirServer doesn't work, then its back to the drawing board. :-(
GuyJD Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 (edited) it works fine here on my Ubiquiti wifi network, I haven't had to open any ports to get it working. -edit Speak to your supplier, they should be able to send you out a AP to test it before you buy. Edited June 10, 2016 by GuyJD
box_l Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 It works just fine with no additional config required. BoX
call911 Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Works great. I have two elementary schools with about 600 kids each using it fine for teachers and students. No issues here.
caffrey Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 VLAN? If so you'll need a bonjour gateway like avahi - works great on our unifi network
