Hi everyone,

Our teachers use laptops as the main teaching device. These devices while teaching are connected to an external TV/monitor via either hdmi or vga. By default when the device is connected the display settings change to extend the desktop over onto the external device so we will then manually change this to the duplicate mode however unfortunately the setting will eventually revert back to the extend mode.

Is there a way to force the mode into duplicate mode once an external monitor is detected by the laptop, perhaps using a registry setting?

The laptops are currently running Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64bit edition and the laptops are Lenovo E550's.

Any help would be appreciated.
