Speakers and amp for classroom

Hi all

 

We need to set up an old classroom for use next year - inevitably all it's equipment has been used as spares since it was last used in anger.

 

I will need a new amp and speakers - we currently use Cambridge Logic amps and they seem wonderful but I thought I would ask you lot what you recommend (or what to avoid!)

 

Only Primary so it needs to work but we are not over fussy about quality

Do you need amps? Generally we just use Sahara's (or now renamed) CLEVERAUDIO - 1050035 - ACTIVE WALL SPEAKERS, 30W, | CPC UK

Thanks - Good point - obviously we need an amp somewhere - but an integrated one would be convenient

Since NuVo got taken over by LeGrand and started doing multiroom we've been using these:

 

TC2-AMP4 50w Digital Amplifier -

 

Roughly the same price as NuVo. We buy from CPC or Hugh Symons

Second vote for the Clear Audio (Sahara) speakers. Use them in a lot of our secondary school rooms, simple to use, good sound and fairly robust.

Another vote for the TC2.

Fits on a standard 1G back box for a nice neat install.

We use the Clever audio / Sahara ones as well. Most of our classrooms have them in (that don't have smart board speakers)
