Yeah, but, Lunar New Year Tracer and Witch Mercy.. :p

 

Find most of Tracers skins a bit cringy or don't like them either, i use the Pre-Order/Special edition skin for Tracer, but will swap to the new one when/if i get it. As for Mercy i've used the Viking type one (i do have the witch one but not a fan of that either)

To be fair, Tracer's Slipstream skin is pretty good.

I think if I didn't have the Hallowe'en Mercy I'd definitely want the Uprising Mercy skin. I like her little hat :p

 

This game's totally becoming FashionWatch..

Agreed, every event is: SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY

 

i always think of it as rewarding the devs for there hard work, i always buy 50 boxes if i really like the skins, only one i didn't spend any money on was the summer games

On a side note, i turned my FPS limiter off yesterday......... bad idea

 

The menu fps went up to 280 but both my GPUs got very loud.... put my hand up to the exhaust fans, nearly burnt the skin off my fingers.

 

I turned it back down to 70....

I try to limit myself to 50 for an event and that is it, I dont want to repeat what I did with csgo, im afraid to say how much I spent on that game

with CS as steam tells me i have spent $398.22USD in the 873 hours i have clocked on the game :/

 

I'm really trying not to repeat it, although i think if i sell all the skins i have i would probable make $200 of it back.

Get on my level. 2,500 hours in DOTA, by looking at trading cards and stuff, Steam reckons I've spent almost $1000!

I mean, that is over three years.. But still.. :faint2:

Don't get me going on my playtime and spend on World of Warcraft! 10 years monthly sub is a lot by itself, when you take into account other in game stuff i've brought over the years.....

Nope, they are both Founders Editions (i'm vain) and scared to OC them, i would if i had watercooling on them

 

To be fair, the reference coolers are pretty poor for overclocking. I wouldn't recommend it.

Shame, because they look really nice. But they just don't move enough air.

Yeah the temps are not ideal, hence why i was thinking of going down the watercooling route.

 

Like you said it's a shame they look awesome but not very practical!

Thought I'd quote in here

Don't be fooled into thinking Mercy is some fragile little princess that needs protecting.

 

1) Mercy's firearm is pretty useful. Despite all the memes, the damage is genuinely higher than you'd expect, and it gives you a nice chunk of ult charge per hit.

2) You can fly away from danger towards other friendly players, try to remember this when you get flanked.

3) If you don't take damage for a few seconds, you regenerate HP pretty quickly.

 

That being said..

 

1) As a Mercy, you are basically the highest priority target for the enemy team, and your health pool isn't fantastic. They will aim to kill you at every opportunity.

2) If you're in a pub game, you can shout "Getting flanked by Genji/Roadhog/etc!" all you like, nobody cares because they're chasing kills elsewhere.

 

Overwatch is one of those games where I get frustrated or bored if I'm not playing with friends.

Cheers. I dont know if it's just me but so far trying to use Guardian Angel is largely hopeless as nobody's ever in her line of sight to get to in the first place. Not sure if it's my settings or something (XB1), I'll have to have a dig around.

 

Any other heroes worth focusing on for a beginner?

Lucio helps just by 'being there' so the barrier to entry is reeeaaaal low and Soldier 76 is basically Call of Duty with a free aimbot (seriously) every now and again.

I still have Overwatch installed and I really want to get back into it but... eh... no motivation. Has anything changed in the last 4 months? ;)

I started with Mercy and Junkrat mainly,

 

Mercy is easy to play so you can help the team quite easily while still being a noob and learning the basics

 

Then once you know how all the heroes works and counters etc you can step it up a gear

Mercy is a great first pick, I also picked her at First, and I still play her, she can seem weak but if you can utilize her Blaster you can be an even greater asset to the team, I climbed to Master solely playing Mercy, I stole a lot of POTGs with Ress too ;l

 

A good attack hero to start off with, I'd recommend Soldier, he's got good sustainability and good damage output, not to mention his Ultimate is haxx.

 

Defense - Mei or Junkrat, both are incredible starter heroes, and Mei is insanely good if you get really good with her.

I personally main Widowmaker & Mei, Widowmaker was incredibly hard to learn, but she's top-tier OP when you're good enough to wipe a team in seconds.
