[ms office - 2013] How to Disable Spelling check and F7 on Ms Office word 2013

I was wondering if you can help me.. Well basically we have student who are having exams in next couple weeks time on Laptop. Examination wants to disable Spelling check and F7 on Ms Word. I have tried everything on google search seems now working at all

 

Anyone know how to do it? Please help

I use Toggleproof for Office 2010/Windows 7 - the comments at the bottom of the page show how to customise it for Office 2013.

We have a number of user accounts just for exam use. These accounts have all Office proofing tools disabled via GPO as well as a few other things removed such as shortcuts. Seems to work well for us as we're not tied down to particular machines each exam time.

This is what we do too. I was told by SLT here that it was not appropriate to use Wordpad or Notepad as the students are not used to the UI.

 

My argument was that they are only word processing so do not need access to fonts, text colours, etc - but I was told I had to provide Office 2013 and Windows 7.

Hey guys

 

I have found a way of disable spelling check and f7 etc on Microsoft Office Word 2013 , Im using on standalone Laptop for Students to use during their Exams.

 

Here is a simple tricky way.

 

- Go to Control Panel

- Programs and Features

- Then click on Microsoft office Professional Plus 2013, then right click it and scroll down to change

- tick Add or Remove Features , then click on Continue

- Scroll down right at the bottom of the page

- Click Arrow down onto "Office Shared Features" and click on "Not Available"

- Click Arrow down onto " Office Tools" and click on "Not Available"

- then click Continue

- Once the Configuration Progress has been done

- Click "Close"

- Then try go to Ms Word and type anything and press F7 .. its has now disabled. Woohoo Horay.. it works.

See it simple and easy...

i have a handful of old laptops running xp and use wordpad for exams. They have no access to the network and work is printed via memory stick.

We have found that the exam boards (as well as the students) want the same software experience for users that need to use a laptop in exams that they'd get in class and for their everyday working, so Windows 7 and Office 2013 for us. While Wordpad and Exams Writepad are appealling, we can't use them for this reason.
