Office 2016 & KMS

Hi

 

Do we have to ring up Microsoft to get KMS keys for Office 2016 to install on the KMS Server? If I look under our licenses Office 2016 is not listed.

 

I've ran the installer from the licensing site, but I get activation error 0xC004F042 in the event logs. I have more than the minimum of 5 workstations with office on, so not a minimum number issue.

I emailed them I think but yes you have to contact them in some fashion

Since last year you had to call or e-mail Microsoft up to get KMS keys, even though most of us use them by default.

You need to send an email to [email protected]

 

Give this information in the email:

 

Your MS Agreement number.

 

Nature of request = KMS key request

 

The name of the product = Office Pro Plus 2016 KMS

 

Last 5 digits of your Office Pro Plus 2016 MAK product key.

 

Business justification for the request.

All sorted - I gave them a call, applied the KMS key instantly to the account.

Activated on the server and office activated on clients!

Nice information. I just rang them and did the same as we'll be moving to Office 2016 at some point.

 

Do you need to do the same for Windows 10? I can't see a KMS key on the licensing site for Windows 10.
