I really hate comments like that... no it's build quality, it is a defect, don't try and fob it off as normal.

Agreed, that kind but f thing was normal 15 years ago when LCD screens were just hitting the mainstream, but these days that simply should not be a thing.

Pretty durable ! Not sure I would do this with any new tech I bought mind you!!

As far as I can tell, no one has tried to blend it yet :(

Mine arrived on Friday, excellent bit of kit. Been playing Zelda on the Tv and loving the fact I can carry on playing the game when my Wife wants to watch her favourite programs.

Zelda is a stunning game, one of the best open world games I've ever played. Snipperclip is an excellent two player experience had a laugh playing this with my kids.

Fast RMX is also worth buying reminds me of F-Zero, this will do until Mario Kart is released. Also being able to play Zelda while waiting at the laundrette was a bonus!!

Overall its worth getting especially if you are an old gamer like me who bought the SNES all those years ago!!!

The BBC are reporting that Switch sales are very strong, especially in Japan.

Not surprising really as mobile gaming is very big over there. Will be interesting to see what the US and UK sales figures are in April.

Switch sales 'close to Nintendo records' - BBC News

from what ive seen uk sales were ~80'000 twice as many as wi-u but less than 3ds/xbox one/ps4 and zelda was 2nd or 3rd on sales chart which on a new system isnt bad

For what could be seen as a 'soft launch' it's been better than I expected. By Christmas with a stronger software line-up it could be even better.

Personally I'm waiting for them to (hopefully) fix the dock and release more games, then I'll look into buying one. But for now? Nah.

Which is kinda counter-intuitive because I do legitimately want it to succeed, but the more people that think like I do, the less it will be considered a success. Fewer purchases mean fewer devs making games for it, and it's all a spiral downwards from there.

I suspect there are a lot of people playing 'wait and see'. If all goes well with it I may just see what deals happen on Black Friday this year.

I still think £300 is too much though, and a drop in price if sucessful will boost sales further.

Or a bundled game i.e. 1-2 switch which should have been included !

I agree it would have been great if they bundled a game (1-2 Switch, or even snipperclips).

I bought one anyway and got Zelda, absolutely loving it! Find myself playing on the tablet a lot more than I thought I would too.

i think ive used it in tablet mode twice once to set it up and because i had a table tilt puzzle in zelda that wasnt making sense with a pro controller diddnt help i just cheesed it in the end lol

but 1-2 switch should of been a pack in game as it looks more like a tech demo than a game
