Hi All,

Dont know wether this is a stupid question or not but looking for some quick advice. Our school really wants to have Minecraft available on around 20 PC's and as the Edu version is currently not available as Microsoft have now bought it and intend on selling licences for £5 per user, this makes things difficult for us as we want it available on 20 PC's and not just for 20 hand-picked users.

As an avid gamer I know that there is a possibility of renting a Minecraft 'Gameserver' but was wondering if there is any issues this could raise? Obviously the server would be passworded and the IP wouldnt be given out. It seems the cheapest option for us at the moment to give our students the opportunity to use Minecraft.

Any advice is greatly appreciated as always.

Elliot
